2020 Harvest Appeal

Each year Upton Vale supports one or two projects through its Harvest Appeal. This year we are supporting a local project and one overseas. The local project is the Torquay Community Larder which is part of the Torbay Food Alliance: 12 organisations working together to ensure that no-one in Torbay goes hungry during this Coronavirus crisis. If you'd like to support the Larder and make a food donation, you can bring items to Upton Vale on Monday, 26 October between 10am-12noon or Tuesday, 27 October between 2-4pm. The Larder currently needs unperishable items such as tins, packets and toiletries. If you would like to donate items but can't make these times please telephone Mat Miller (01803 400403 and leave a message) to check someone is at the Church Office to receive them.

For the overseas part of our Harvest Appeal we are supporting the BMS 'Operation Chad' project. Guinebor II Hospital in Chad performs life-saving operations, delivers babies, stitches up gunshot wounds, removes cancers, heals malnourished children and shares the good news of Jesus to those who've never heard it before. One of our church members, Claire Bedford, has been working at the hospital for nearly five years. Watch this BMS video to see a snippet of what the hospital does. We'll be hearing from Claire in our Sunday morning service on 1 November. If you'd like to give, please follow the steps below.
