Come and enjoy refreshments at our Cottage Cafe and help overseas Christian charities at the same time!
Our Cottage Café is located on Lymington Road, Torquay opposite the Library and next to Upton Vale Baptist Church. We're open 11am - 2pm Monday to Friday. The café is run entirely by volunteers, and has just been awarded (again!) a 5 star food hygiene rating from Torbay Council's Environmental Health Department.
We sell a wide range of hot and cold food, from sandwiches and toasties, jacket potatoes and beans on toast, and of course our well-renowned and popular home made cakes and soups...see the photos below for just some of our delicious treats! All our coffees are made from freshly ground Fairtrade coffee beans and our teas are Fairtrade too. A selection of soft drinks also are available. All the profits we make are given to Christian projects in other parts of the world. Last year, we raised approximately £17,600 to give to overseas projects. Come and visit us and see our large noticeboard in the Cafe showing all the different projects we support around the world and how much is going to each project. By enjoying a coffee and cake or lunch with us your money is going to help support lots of really worthwhile projects.
Free Wifi too when you enjoy refreshments with us!
We also have a range of Christian greeting cards too.
If you'd like to get involved in this worthwhile work please contact Anne Haines-Nutt (01803 328358) or Phyl Redwood (07891 144331) who can give you more information.
